Ikke good vibes på Good Vibes Festivalen i Malaysia i kveld hvor konserten til The 1975 kuttes tidlig.
– Okay vi må dra. Vi ble akkurat bannlyst i Kuala Lumpur, sier Matty Healy (født i 89) fra scenen.
Den dårlige stemningen startet da The 1975-vokalisten kritiserte de malaysiske myndighetens LHBT-forbud fra scenen.

– Jeg er jævla sint. Det er ikke rettferdig for dere, sier Matty fra scenen.
– Fordi dere ikke er representative for regjeringen deres, fortsetter briten.
– Det er jævla latterlig å fortelle folk hva de kan gjøre.
Matty Healy forteller at han egentlig hadde tenkt til å kansellere konserten i forkant i protest.
– Jeg trakk showet i går. [Men] så snakket vi om det og sa «vi kan ikke svikte folkene fordi de er ikke regjeringen.
– Hvis dere vil hente meg ut hit, så fuck off. Jeg tar pengene deres. Dere kan bannlyse meg, men jeg har gjort dette før… Og det føles ikke godt.
Festivalen Good Vibes, som er sponset av Samsung, sier at konserten ble stanset grunnet at «lokale retningslinjer ikke ble overholdt» på scenen.
– Good Vibes Festival har alltid vært dedikert til å tilby hyggelige musikkopplevelser, og vi setter oppriktig pris på deres kontinuerlige støtte, sier en representant for festivalen.
– Good Vibes Festival 2023 vil fortsette som planlagt, og vi gleder oss til din tilstedeværelse på lørdag og søndag.
Homoseksualitet og transseksualitet er forbudt i Malaysia og kan straffes med fengsel inntil 20 år, bøter eller piskeslag av de sivile domstolene.
